SEPTEMBER EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH: Ginger McVeigh
A Message from the Owner and Founder:
Looking back to the summer of 2005, the company for which I had worked for 25 years closed the Atlanta office. I was faced with changing jobs or changing careers.
I had a good friend, Ginger McVeigh, whom I had met in a service organization named Decatur Cotillion Club. She was President, and I served as Vice President. We raised money for one of the local women’s and children’s shelters.
Ginger was doing part-time bookkeeping for a life coach. She knew my situation and gave me one of his brochures. I made an appointment and began my journey and exploration into the next vocation chapter of my life.
Over the next eight months, we discovered my passion for caring and dealing with the elderly. We were actively caring for both sets of our parents, delivering the care ourselves, hiring private caregivers, and eventually buying home care service from a licensed agency.
Life Coach Jack said, “Why can’t you be the agency?” And so began the exploration and beginnings of Atlanta Home Care Partners, Inc. I contacted my friend Ginger and told her of my plans. She expressed an interest in becoming our bookkeeper, and in 2007, we launched Atlanta Home Care Partners, Inc. from the basement of our home.
Ginger McVeigh has been with us from day one! Her tireless efforts, hard work, and determination have helped make our agency what it is today.
We congratulate Ginger for being named Employee of the Month for September 2020.
